Common file formats
- .wbfs — native backup file format for Wii games.
- .iso / .img / .wbfs/ — disc image formats that can be converted to/from WBFS.
- .less common: .gcz (compressed WBFS), .wad (channels), .rpx (for Wii U/other).
3. Converting ISO to WBFS (If you have an ISO backup)
If you have backed up your disc and it resulted in a large .iso file, you can convert it to the more efficient .wbfs format to save space. Wii Fit Plus in the WBFS (Wii Backup

- Download WiiBackupManager (freeware).
- Click “Drive 1” → Select your USB drive.
- Click “Files” → “Add ISO” and locate your ISO.
- Right-click the game → “Convert to WBFS”.
- The program will shrink the file automatically.
