Building Your First vMix GT Plugin (DIY)
If you are a web developer, you can create your own "plugin" using vMix GT Title, which supports JavaScript and HTTP requests.
Plugin types and common uses
- Input plugins: custom sources (e.g., NDI wrappers, web dashboards, telemetry overlays).
- Transition/effect plugins: custom transition animations, real-time image processing (shaders, LUTs).
- Output/automation plugins: remote-control, tally, macros, downstream keying control, streaming integration.
- Controller/utility plugins: MIDI/OSC/HTTP bridges, multiview layouts, tally aggregation.
- Integration plugins: talkback, scoreboard systems, graphics engines (HTML/CEF), camera PTZ control.
- Open vMix.
- Go to Settings (Gear icon) > External Rendering / Web Controller.
- Check "Allow connections from network devices".
- Note the Port (default is
8088) and your computer's IP address.
