Take a problem from the manual and change one variable (e.g., make the fluid SAE 30 oil instead of water, or tilt the pipe angle). Solve it again. Check your logic against the manual’s structure.

- Did they assume "no shear" at the free surface?
Step 2: The Logic Check. If you get stuck, open the solution manual to see the first step. Often, you just need a hint on which assumption to make.
