Save Data — Resident Evil 4 Gamecube
Resident Evil 4 for the GameCube, you save your story progress manually by interacting with typewriters found throughout the game world
Creating, Managing, and Naming Saves
- Creating a save: Interact with a typewriter, choose “Save,” select a free save slot or overwrite an existing slot, confirm.
- Overwriting: Overwriting replaces all data in the target save file. The game may show a confirmation prompt; choose carefully.
- Save naming: The GameCube UI shows file timestamps and simple identifiers; there’s no custom naming beyond choosing a slot.
- Best practices:
franchise prior to this entry, saving was a high-stakes decision. Players were forced to find and expend limited "Ink Ribbons" to use a typewriter. In the GameCube version of Resident Evil 4 , this restriction was removed, allowing for unlimited manual saves at any typewriter encountered.
- Memory Card 59 (59 blocks)
- Memory Card 251 (251 blocks)
