Description: Turbocharger Pressure Regulation / Supercharging Pressure Control Vacuum Lines: Are the rubber hoses to the
- Vacuum Lines: Are the rubber hoses to the turbo solenoid cracked? (Symptoms: no boost over 2,500 rpm).
- MAF Sensor: Unplug it. Does the power return? Replace the mass airflow sensor.
- Injector Return Flow: Run a leak-off test. If one injector fills a bottle twice as fast as the others, replace it.
- DPF (if equipped): Is the car only doing short trips? Force a regeneration with a diagnostic tool.
The DF361 was eventually replaced by more advanced direct-injection and turbocharged diesel engines (such as the 1.9-liter F8Q) as emissions and performance demands increased.
