QSF Tool (Qualcomm Samsung FRP) released around 2021 is a specialized utility designed to bypass Factory Reset Protection (FRP)
SamFw Tool: A popular free alternative that often supports bypasses via ADB or test mode, though its Qualcomm-specific support varies by model.
: Features a one-click "Erase FRP" button to automate the removal process once the device is connected. Free to Use
The Mechanism of FRP and the Qualcomm Chipset Challenge
First, a quick refresher. FRP (Factory Reset Protection) is Google’s anti-theft feature. After a factory reset via recovery mode (not settings), the device demands the previous Google credentials. In 2020, cheap "OTG cable" methods or simple dialer codes worked wonders. By mid-2021, Samsung updated its Knox security and Qualcomm’s bootloader restrictions made these methods obsolete.
As of 2025, QSFT is largely obsolete for modern Samsung devices (Android 12, 13, 14). Security patches have locked down EDL access, requiring authorized Samsung service credentials. For 2021 devices still on older firmware, it remains a historical solution, but do not download random QSFT executables—most contain trojans.
EDL Mode (Emergency Download): This requires connecting the device in a low-level boot state (often involving specific button combinations like Volume Up + Volume Down + EDL button) to allow the tool to send a reset notification or bypass file.
