Polladhavan Tamil Movie 🎁
Polladhavan — Story (concise summary)
Polladhavan (2007) follows Prabhu (Dhanush), a carefree young man from Chennai who lives with his girlfriend Suriya (Divya Spandana) and his supportive family. Prabhu buys a new Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle, which becomes a symbol of independence and pride. Soon after, the bike is stolen, and Prabhu’s attempts to retrieve it bring him into conflict with local criminals.
Prabhu’s life is directionless. He has friction with his overbearing father (M. N. Rajam), a retired bank employee who nags him constantly about getting a job. His only escape is his girlfriend, Hema (Divya Spandana). The narrative shifts when Prabhu’s father, tired of his son’s lethargy, liquidates his provident fund to buy him a second-hand Suzuki Samurai. The bike becomes more than transport; it symbolizes freedom, self-respect, and the fragile bridge between father and son. Polladhavan Tamil Movie

- Dhanush (Prabhu): A measured, restrained central turn. Prior to Polladhavan he showed comic and dramatic range; here he grounds the film with quiet anger and believable escalation into violence. The film helped cement him as a leading actor capable of serious, character-driven work.
- Divya Spandana/Ramya (Saroja): Provides an emotional anchor and human connection for Prabhu; her chemistry with Dhanush reads sincere.
- Kishore (Kayal) and supporting cast: Effective in creating a menacing criminal presence without theatrical excess. Newer/lesser-known actors bring authenticity.
- Bharathiraja’s cameo-like role adds gravitas in a key sequence.
The Hero: Prabhu (Dhanush) is a middle-class youth whose life revolves around his hard-earned Bajaj Pulsar bike.
