The multidisabler-samsung-2.6.zip is a specialized utility script designed for Samsung mobile devices to disable security features that interfere with custom modifications like rooting or installing custom recoveries. Originally developed by developer ianmacd, this tool is essential for users running Android 9.0 (Pie) or higher who wish to maintain a custom recovery like TWRP without the system automatically reverting to stock or encrypting data partitions. Warning: Do not use this on Samsung devices with MediaTek chipsets (some A-series) unless confirmed by your ROM developer, as the partition scheme differs. multidisabler-samsung-2.6.zip download

It was tiny. A scalpel for a fortress.
Then, the Samsung logo appeared. Not the usual one. This time, it was followed by a new, smaller line of text at the top of the screen in white: The multidisabler-samsung-2
- Unlocked Bootloader: Go to Settings → Developer Options → OEM Unlocking. On Exynos models, this is straightforward; on Snapdragon US models, this is often impossible – the multi-disabler will not help here.
- Custom Recovery Installed: You must have TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) 3.6.0 or higher. Stock recovery cannot flash unsigned ZIPs like the multi-disabler.
- Backup your Data: Disabling encryption will wipe your internal storage. Copy photos, documents, and downloads to a PC or SD card.
- Samsung USB Drivers: For transferring files, though flashing happens via recovery, not download mode.
- Compatibility with One UI 5.1 and Android 13: Earlier multi-disablers often failed on newer Samsung firmware (e.g., S22, S23, A53 series). Version 2.6 includes updated mount paths for the super partition.
- Exynos and Snapdragon Support: While some disablers were chipset-specific, v2.6 uses generic block detection logic, making it compatible with both Exynos (International) and Snapdragon (US/China) variants where bootloader unlocking is possible.
- Fixed Vaultkeeper Regression: Version 2.5 had a bug where after a factory reset via recovery, the device would still enforce a password on boot. V2.6 patches the
init.rcfile more reliably. - No more "Resize Vendor" requirement: Older versions required users to manually resize the vendor partition after flashing. V2.6 automates this using
lptools.
