For nearly two decades, Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks has remained a cult classic. Released in 2005 by Midway, this action-adventure beat ‘em up took the brutal universe of Mortal Kombat and transformed it into a two-player cooperative masterpiece. Unlike traditional fighting games, Shaolin Monks allowed players to step into the sandals of Liu Kang and Kung Lao, tearing through hordes of Tarkatan warriors, solving puzzles, and fighting iconic bosses like Baraka, Goro, and Shao Kahn.
