Boulder Dash: As you enter the main shaft, you will hear a rumble. Sprint forward immediately to avoid the rolling boulder. Don't stop until you reach the niche on the left.
The Push Block: You will find a pushable crate. Move it onto a specific tile (usually marked with a slightly different texture). This raises a platform allowing access to a higher tunnel.
The Shotgun: Before proceeding to the boss area, look for a secret area near the mine carts. Crawling through a small tunnel here yields the Shotgun and essential shells. You will need this for the boss.

Explosives: If you found the Grenade Launcher secret earlier, save it for the final 25% of his health bar to finish him quickly.
