• K': A young man who has no memory of his past. He possesses immense power, including the ability to wield flames (similar to Kyo Kusanagi), but he wears a special glove to control it. He enters the tournament to find answers about his identity and his creators.
• Maxima: A Cyborg warrior and K's partner. He is a man of few words but possesses high-tech weaponry and a loyalty to K'.
• Benimaru Nikaido & Shingo Yabuki: Since Kyo Kusanagi is missing (following the Orochi saga), his teammates Benimaru and Shingo join forces with K' and Maxima to investigate the tournament.
