1. Restore .dmg to 8+ GB USB/DVD using TransMac (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac)
2. Boot with -v -f or busratio=20 (AMD)
3. Use Disk Utility to partition target drive (MBR if dual-booting Windows)
4. Customize kext selection before install
5. Post-install: apply combo update to 10.6.5 (optional)

5. Limitations & Issues

• No iCloud / FaceTime – Snow Leopard’s certificates are expired; iMessage won't activate
• 32-bit kernel only – No 64-bit kernel support for AMD or legacy Intel
• No TRIM support for SSDs (enable via third-party kext)
• Audio glitches – VoodooHDA may cause pops/crackling
• DVD playback fails without proper QE/CI and AppleDVDPlayer patch
• No App Store updates – Can’t install 10.6.8 combo update (breaks kernel/kexts)
