1. Bend the leads of R1 through R14 to fit the 0.4" spacing.
2. Insert resistors. Note: R7 is hidden under the IC socket—install it before the socket.
3. Diodes (D1-D4): Match the black line on the diode to the white line on the PCB silkscreen. Reverse this, and you create a direct short.
