  1. Close Steam completely (make sure it’s not running in the system tray).
  2. Navigate to your Steam installation folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\appmanifest_211600.acf (Note: 211600 is the App ID for F1 2013).
  3. Open this file with Notepad.
  4. Find the line that says "language" – it will likely say "polish", "german", or "russian".
  5. Change it to "english".
  6. Save the file (you may need to copy it to your desktop, edit it, then replace the original).
  7. Restart Steam. Your game will now say "Update Required" – this is Steam downloading the English language files (approx. 1.8 GB).
  8. Once complete, launch the game. Your menus and commentary will now be in English.
