How downloading from GoFile works

  • Files are uploaded by a user to GoFile, which returns a unique download URL and optionally a folder link or access code.
  • Anyone with the download URL (and password/access code, if set) can fetch the file via browser or direct HTTP(S) request.
  • Downloads may be served from GoFile’s distributed infrastructure or CDN to improve speed.
  • Large files are provided as single-file downloads; some users compress multiple files into archives before upload.
