Diablo II: Lord of Destruction — Character Save Files

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction (Diablo II: LOD) stores character progress in local save files. Understanding these files is useful for backup, transfer between computers, modding, and troubleshooting. Important Note: The shared stash (added in Patch 1.13c for single-player) is not stored in the character save file. It resides in a separate file named SharedStashSoftCoreV2.d2i (or _LOD_HC_ for Hardcore). We will cover managing this later. diablo 2 lod character save files
