For Unreal Engine 5
- Copy the
.exr files into your project's Content folder.
- Create a
Sky Light actor in your scene.
- In the Sky Light details panel, set
Source Type to SLS Specified Cubemap.
- Click the drop-down arrow and import the Cubemap. Unreal will convert the EXR for you.
- Set
Intensity Scale to a value (usually 1 to 4, depending on the exposure of the pack).
Pro Tip: To rotate the light without moving the HDRI, add a Mapping node and a Texture Coordinate node. Connect the Generated output to the Mapping vector, then to the Environment Texture. Rotate the Rotation Z axis to spin the light around your model.
