You type it wrong sometimes. 192.168 1.1 — a missing dot, as if your finger hesitated between the decimal and the void. But the router doesn't judge. It waits.
Wired: Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to one of the LAN ports (usually yellow or orange) on the back of the router. Access the Login Page:
Log In:
- Use the default credentials printed on the router label (often admin / admin or admin / password).
- Connect to the router physically (Ethernet) and access http://192.168.1.1 then enter the admin password you set.
- If you forgot the admin password, reset the router to factory defaults by holding the reset button (usually 10–15 seconds), then reconfigure with the default credentials.
- Check the device manual or Mercusys support for model‑specific instructions.
- If it’s not your router, ask the network owner or administrator for access.
Navigate to Settings: Look for Wireless or Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings in the menu.
